The world's longest bony fish is the Oarfish, which can grow up to 15 meters. The deep-sea creature is rarely spotted. A few days ago a marine scientist found the carcass of a 5 meters long surpent-like Oarfish off California's Santa Catalina island. fifteen people dragged the specimen to shore and transported it to Catalina Island Marine Institute, where it's being analysed.
